On June 14th, the online teacher sharing event “Empowering Chinese Teaching with HSK: A Practical Journey” was successfully held. Co-hosted by Chinese Testing International (the global operator of the HSK exam), Wo Hui Mandarin, and HSK Mock, the event attracted 1,146 Chinese language teachers from 57 countries.

Moderated by Ms. Hu Yuan, Course and Training Manager at Wo Hui Mandarin, the event provided a space for educators to exchange ideas and share practical teaching experiences focused on the integration of HSK into classroom instruction. Teachers discussed how they’re using HSK tools in innovative ways to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.

The event opened with remarks from Dr. Li Peize, General Manager of Chinese Testing International, who highlighted the global impact of the HSK exam. Each year, around 800,000 candidates from 166 countries take the HSK test at over 1,400 centres worldwide. He emphasized that platforms such as HSK Mock, the official HSK curriculum, and Wo Hui Mandarin are playing an increasingly important role—not just in helping learners build confidence in their Chinese language skills, but also in broadening their perspectives and fostering meaningful cross-cultural connections.

Dr. Li also noted that the Wo Hui Mandarin course platform—continuously enhanced by AI technologies—is quickly becoming a valuable “AI teaching assistant” for educators. By aligning closely with HSK proficiency levels, the platform helps teachers save time on lesson planning and focus more on student interaction, guidance, and emotional support. Ultimately, the goal is to help students become more self-directed and motivated in their learning journeys.

By spotlighting real classroom stories and practical use cases, the event aimed to amplify the voices of frontline educators and inspire more effective, connected, and student-centered Chinese teaching practices. It marked an important step toward building a more collaborative and high-quality global Chinese language education ecosystem.
